Discussions on the combining governing with the limits of the law with governing with the morals

江泽民总书记提出的“法治”与“德治”并举的思想具有重要的意义。法治与德治的紧密结合是历史和现实的必然。为使我们国家长治久安,必须积极探索法治与德治相结合的具体途径,主要是:提高对法治与德治相结合这一治国基本方略的认识;坚持和促进法治与德治结合的实践;从严治党,发挥党员、特别是党员领导干部的率先垂范作用;积极借鉴并及时总结中外法治与德治相结合的历史和现实经验。

The idea that governing the country with the limits of the law developed simultaneously with the limits of the morals which was put forward by general secretary JIANG Ze-min is very important.To firmly combine governing with limits of both the law and the morals is the necessity of the history and the reality.In order to keep our country's long-term political stability,we must explore the specific channels which is mainly the followings:to develop the understanding of the basic channel of governing the country with the limits of both the law and the morals;to insist on and promote the practice of this theory;to place high demands on the party;arouse the party members',especially the party leaders’model affection;to draw lessons from the experiences and the history of the country.
