摘要
两岸及美国的学者2010年以来涉台外交的研究成果显示,随着美国相对衰落、中国日益崛起,以及两岸关系的和平发展,美国"以台制华"的能力下降,台湾问题对中美关系大局的冲击和干扰也在减少。然而,从美国"重返亚太"、美台军事关系发展、美国国内围绕"弃台论"的政策辩论,以及台湾与中美构建新型大国关系的关系等问题的研究来看,本文认为,美国并未从根本上改变"以台制华"的固有战略,不希望两岸在东海、南海等问题上走得太近,美国仍然会在台湾"国际空间""国际经济空间"等问题上"搅局"。
After 2010 scholars on both sides of the Taiwan Strait as well as U. S.scholars have noticed that the relative decline of the U. S.,the rise of China,and the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations have together reduced the U. S. ability of 'containing China with Taiwan. 'As a result,the Taiwan Question has become less of a burden on the overall U. S.-China relations. Nevertheless,the U. S. Asia-Pacific rebalancing,the development of U. S.-Taiwan military relations,the U. S. domestic debate over 'abandoning Taiwan,'and Taiwan's role in establishing a new type of major power relations between Washington and Beijing also indicated that the U. S. has not fundamentally changed its established strategy of 'containing China with Taiwan,' which also explains the U. S. continual interference with issues such as cross-Strait maritime cooperation in the East and South China Sea as well as Taiwan's 'international space'and 'international economic space. '
