The design and construction of the DSTP（ deep sea tailings placement） system for an EPC project of the South Pacific were discussed,the key design points of pipeline,tanks and cofferdam and process measures for construction difficulty of DSTP system were introduced. After rigorous professional design and careful construction organization,the project was tested and operated successfully.
