ABSTRACT：The subject librarian is an important carrier of library’s collection resources, and also is the key factor for the library to provide reader service. This paper expounds the definition and connotation of the subject librarian, introduces the work contents of the subject librarian, and probes into some rooms for the improvement of subject librarian’s personal quality and professional ability.
