试论京师同文馆的生源选拔机制

The Mechanisms of Recruiting Students of the Peking T'ung-wen Kuan

京师同文馆是近代中国创办的第一所新式外国语学堂,在其存续的四十年的时间里,培养了一批为国服务的外交、政治、教育等领域的专门人才。其生源选拔机制呈现出多元化的特点,为改善生源结构,实行高质量的教学奠定了基础,对后世的生源选拔工作产生一定的影响,具有一定的借鉴价值。

The Peking T＇ung-wen Kuan,established in 1862,was the first new foreign language school of modern China. It trained hosts of professionals serving the country in diplomatic,political and educational fields throughout its lifetime. The mechanisms of recruiting students displayed pluralist characteristics,laid a good foundation for improving students structure and providing high quality teaching and produced a good effect upon the later students recruitment and could be used as a reference.
