Hubei has a large number of ancestral temples,which with their elegant architecture and family activities educate people to obey the moral and pursue their ideal realm. The genealogy and family precepts have great influence on family members. This paper lists five representative,typical ancestral temples in Hubei Province and shows the excellent tradition through their long history,which are worthy of serious study so that the fine traditional culture can be carried forward and with it today＇s civilization can be nourished.
