定窑是我国宋代历史上著名的五大名窑之一,其处于白瓷引领中心地位的定窑系遍布于大江南北。定窑创烧于唐,形于北宋,再兴于金,衰于元。宋金时代,曾一直被用于进贡宫廷作为御用品。然而南宋陆放翁在其记载中说到,"定器不入禁中",言明定瓷在北宋直到陆氏生活年代不再作为贡品,这一条文献被转载记录,并成为"弃定兴汝"的依据。
