The current situation and evaluation: gastric cancer staging with MDCT based on the 7th AJCC TNM staging system

美国癌症联合会(AJCC)发布的TNM分期系统能有效预测胃癌患者预后并指导临床医师选择最优化的治疗策略。尽管有多种影像技术可应用于胃癌的术前TNM分期,多层螺旋CT(MDCT)仍然是目前应用最广泛的术前分期评估手段。本文对最新版的TNM分期系统内容及MDCT胃癌TNM分期的现状作一综述。

It is considered that tumor-node-metastasis （TNM） staging system can effectively predict prognosis in gastric cancer patients and guide clinicians to choose optimal treatment. Although variety of imaging modes are applied to the preoperative staging of gastric cancer, MDCT is the most popular staging technique. Herein, we give a general overview of the updated edition of TNM staging system and the current situation of gastric cancer staging with MDCT.
