In this article, the content and distribution characteristics of antibiotics in manure-amended soils and vegetables and the influences of antibiotic residues on the quantity of soil microorganism, the enzyme activity as well as the yield and quality of vegetables are reviewed, providing some reference for the further study of antibiotic residues in manure-amended vegetable fields. The results indicate that application of manures of the livestock and poultry in scale farms into vegetable fields as organic fertilizer can lead to antibiotic residues in soils which have the impacts on the soil fertility by disturbance of the structure and functions of microbial community and the enzyme activity in soils. Even more, the residue antibiotics can be further taken in by the crops and accumulated there, resulting in endangering the quality safety of the agricultural products.
