There is a Yu Dynasty before Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties

我国古代历史上统称是夏、商、周三代 ,有些古籍又称为虞、夏、商、周四代。作为虞氏的世系 ,现在可考的有幕等十五个名号 ,而不止是尧舜禅让中的舜一代五十年 ,是古代史上实际存在很长时期的一个朝代 ,具有特殊的历史地位。

In ancient China's history Xia, Shang and Zhou are usually thought as three dynasties, but according to some ancient books there existed a Yu Dynasty before the three. In fact, this dynasty stood for many years and has a unique historical status.
