Zhang Zhitong's Experience of Treating Infantile Eczema

对于小儿湿疹,张同园教授从脏腑论治,以健脾为根本,祛邪以化湿为关键,兼以清热散风,病久则养血润燥,内外结合,注重局部治疗。张教授强调在治疗小儿湿疹时,不但要辨证论治,还要紧扣小儿的生理病理特点,在临证中自拟健脾除湿止痒汤益气健脾,利湿清热,兼散风凉血止痒。

With regard to infantile eczema,Zhang Tongyuan treat from the viscera,take strengthening the spleen as the basis,removing pathogen and dissolving dampness as the key,clearing heat and dispersing wind as the supplementary therapy. For prolonged disease,nourishing blood and moistening dryness is added; the interior and the exterior are both treated; and local treatment is emphasized. It is stressed that when treating infantile eczema in clinic,on the basis of syndrome differentiation and treatment and in accordance with the infantile physiopathological features,the self-formulated Jianpi Chushi Zhiyang Tang should be used to benefiti qi and strengthen the spleen,induce diuresis,disperse wind pathogen,cool blood and relieve itching.
