With potato residues and chicken feces as mixed feedstock, the effect of total solid(TS),initial p H and inoculation quantity on anaerobic fermentation and methane concentration were studied and optimized by orthogonal test. The results showed that the duration of biogas production, the yield of methane and methane concentration were 7 days,383.2mL/g and 45.3%,respectively,when the TS was 3%; The duration of biogas production, the yield of methane and methane concentration was 7 days,342.5mL/g and 45.2%,respectively,when the initial p H was 7.0,which was the best among all treatments of initial p H; The duration of biogas production, biogas yield and methane concentration for inoculation of 10% and 12% were similar and the best among four treatments of 5.0%,8.0%,10.0% and 12.0%,and the yield of methane of treatments 10% and12% were 368.4mL/g and 405.4 mL/g,respectively,and the yield of methane for treatment 12% was the highest among all treatments. The orthogonal test indicated that the effect of TS on anaerobic fermentation was the most remarkable, and the next was initial p H and the last was inoculation quantity among three factors. The optimum anaerobic digestion parameters were 3% of TS,initial pH 7.0 and 10% of inoculation quantity, and under these conditions the yield of methane could reached 383.2mL/g.
