An Analysis for Impacts on City Size by Technology and Land Price

城市规模一直是城市化发展战略的重要问题,究竟什么规模的城市符合城市发展的要求。文章从城市化过程中的聚集效应和扩散效应入手对城市规模进行比较静态分析,为城市发展战略中城市规模的确定提供参考依据。当城市的聚集效应和扩散效应达到均衡的时候,城市规模也达到均衡。技术和城市地价会对均衡的城市规模产生影响,其影响方向经过比较静态分析之后,得出两个结论:技术对城市规模的影响是反向的;城市房价对城市规模的影响是正向的。文章利用北京市相关数据进行实证分析验证了这两个结论,并针对这两个结论给出简单的经济解释。

City size has been regarded as an important issue of the urbanization strategy and what city size could meet the requirements of urbanization should be investigated.After analyzing the agglomeration effect and diffusion effect in the process of urbanization,comparative statics analysis was carried out on city size.This paper can provide a reference for determining the city size in urban development strategy.When the equilibrium between agglomeration effect and diffusion effect was reached,city size also reached the equilibrium.Based on the analysis of the impact direction of technology and the urban land price on the balanced city size,such conclusions can be drawn that the impact on the city size by technology was inverted;the impact on the city size by urban housing price was positive.Then these two conclusions were verified through empirical analysis on the basis of Beijing city data and two conclusions were interpreted simply.
