For Chinese culture, there is not only a history in words but also a history in pictures. The culture and arts of the Han dynasty and people＇s spirit can be seen in the Han stone carvings. The essay tries to explain the comic mind in the collective unconsciousness of the Han people, their positive and optimistic spirit and yearning for the beautiful life in terms of the Taoist thoughts, Confucianism and Buddhist thoughts.
