Paradigm Shift of Library and Information Science Based on Information-Centered Research in the Age of Big Data

面对大量非结构数据的产生,如何充分利用它们创造价值成为一个难题,Mike Thelwall提出了针对新信息源的以信息为中心研究的方法论。本文介绍了该方法论及其与现有的图书情报学理论的异同,探讨了基于以信息为中心研究的图书情报学研究范式转换。

In the face of a large number of non-structure data, how to make good use of them to create value becomes a problem, a meth-odology of information-centered research （ ICR） that focuses on a new information source was proposed by Mike Thelwall. This paper in-troduced the methodology and compared it with the existing theory of library and information science （ LIS） , and discussed the paradigm shift of LIS research based on ICR.
