Construction Strategy Of Institutional Repositories in Library of University from Multiple Dimensionalities

The paper introduces the conception and function of institutional repositories, discusses the strategies that the library of a university constructs the institutional repositories from some dimensions：publicity preparation, related policy formulation, the management and use of document resources as well as analysis of the effectiveness of institu- tional repository. At the same time, the paper enumerates the roles of institutional repository for innovation, intellectual property defining, and academic exchange, and points out establishing the alliance of institutional repositories of uni- versities in mainland is a tentative development direction.
