Ruthanne Lum McCunn, an European-Asian novelist, in her novels of Thousand Pieces of Gold and Wooden Fish Songs, truly reproduces the Chinese and blacks ethnic groups who had been unfairly treated in the history of the United States, criticizes the prejudice against ethnic groups and internal colonialism, and advocates interracial dating, intermarriage and multiple cultural hybridization in order to finally realize the ideal of national integration.
