On March 16,2014,the Bureau of Civil Affairs of Guangzhou announced that because of the overload capacity,the pilot program of Baby Safety Island had to be suspended.Within less than two months,Baby Safety Island program had come to its end.This news sparked a heated debate in the society,thrusting the controversial Baby Safety Island program into the spotlight again.Some argue that Baby Safety Island harbored abandoned infants,which demonstrated the society's respect to lives and its sense of responsibility.Others believe that the establishment of Baby Safety Island sheltered parents' abandonment of their unwanted babies,which vicariously encouraged such crimes,scorned the parental responsibility of raising their minor children,and challenged the rule-of-law.Indeed,what are the values of Baby Safety Island?
