Mrs. Dalloway,as one of the masterpieces of Virginia Woolf, receives numerous studies in the late twenty years in China.Yet,most of them concentrate on the analysis of her adroit technique of applying stream-consciousness and her advancing consciousness in the awakening of females. In this paper, the author tends to analyze the dialogue between the delegate of authority-Doctor William Bradshaw and the spokesman of the vulnerable group-Stephen Warren Smith through the stylistic perspective. The paper adopts the analytic approaches of stylistics and at the same time combined with Foucault' s theory on the disciplinary power and madness and civilization in order to penetrate into the odious social system, the filthy medical system in particular, under the pen of Virginia Woolf.
