They respect the equality of men and women, but no longer exaggerate or emphasize the differ- ences in gender, social status, family and other aspects. In fact, they respect the differences. The intertex- tual relation between Bridget .]one＇ s Diary and Pride and Prejudice breaks the stability of the text, so that it becomes open to muhi-interpretations. Meanwhile, it also expresses the author＇ s deep reflection toward women＇ s status in today＇ s society.
