经世致用就是关注社会现实,面对社会矛盾,并用所学解决社会问题,以求达到国治民安的实效。新安学者致力于学问,并希望能够通过它来改变社会现状,其中朱升就是比较突出的一位。他提出"九言三策",提倡积极入世,其经世致用思想在政治、经济、军事上,对当时的社会都起到了一定的推动作用,并产生了积极影响。

Pragmatism means paying attention to the social reality,facing the social contradictions and using what have been learned to solve social problems,which could have an actual effect on country and people.Xin＇an scholars devoted themselves to learning and taking part in social activities,hoping changing social situation by this.Zhu Sheng is a prominent one among the Xin＇an scholars,who proposed＂Nine Words and Three Policies＂and advocated that people should resolve themselves into society actively.His pragmatism thought had a positive impact on politics,economy and military,and also had played a certain role in the society at that time.
