摘要
作为后现代主义的代表作品,约翰·福尔斯的小说《法国中尉的女人》在叙事层面有着匠心独运的造诣。基于戴维·米切尔森和埃里克·拉布金的空间叙事理论对小说《法》进行空间叙事层面的研究,指出小说通过对萨拉的陌生化处理,对连贯情节的摒弃和使用并置等叙述手法使叙事时间流被迫停止,这不仅凸显出小说的空间叙事倾向,而且从接收美学的角度看大大增强了文本的召唤能力,在很大程度上调动了读者的积极性。
As the representative work of the postmodernism,John Fowles' novel The French Lieutenant's Womanis of great attainments in the aspect of narration.Based on the study in spatial narrative of David Michelsen and Eric Rabkin,this article attends to pointing out that the spatial narrative tendency of this novel is demonstrated through the narrative skills like the defamiliarization of Sarah,the abandonment of the coherent structure and the use of juxtaposition,which also in a great extent facilitates the calling of the text and thus stimulates the enthusiasm of the reader.
