The advances of immunotherapy for cerebral glioma

脑胶质瘤是神经系统最常见的恶性颅内肿瘤。传统的治疗方式虽然能有效的抑制脑胶质瘤的生长，但是由于其高恶性程度和高复发率，恶性胶质瘤患者的术后生存期没有显著改善。研究证实，免疫治疗不仅发挥肿瘤杀伤作用，还能提升宿主的抗肿瘤免疫反应应答，被认为是难治性肿瘤的重要的辅助治疗策略。

Cerebral glioma is the most common malignant intracranial tumours in nervous system. Although traditional therapeutic methods could effectively inhibit the growth of cerebral glioma, postoperative survival of these patients did not markedly improved owing to high recurrence rate. Studies have confirmed that immunotherapy could not only kill tumors, but also enhance anti-tumor immune response of the host. Therefore, immunotherapy has been considered the most important auxiliary therapeutic strategy for treatment-resistant tumors.
