With the help of Appraisal Theory, the author gives a contrastive analysis of two different commentaries of ＂Mac Grady Time＂from the respective of attitude,engagement and scale system, which can help us understand people’s attitude, emotion, and the ideology of discourse. What’s more, the author hopes the mentioned analysis could provide some useful suggestions for the greater development of our sports commentary.
