摘要
中国古典诗歌是否可译,历来都有争论。在翻译过程中语言形式会发生变化,这是不争的事实。因此弗罗斯特认为"诗歌就是翻译过程中丢失的东西。"尽管有诸多中国古典诗歌被译成了英语,但都不是完美的再现,造成这种缺憾根本原因是中西文化差异。文章从意境、意象隐喻、修辞手法、文学典故、音韵等从五个因素出发论证了中国古典诗歌的不可译性。
There always exists argument on whether Chinese classical poetry is translatable or not.It is also a truth that translation will cause the change of language forms. So Frost believed that"poetry is what is lost during translation process."Although there were many Chinese classical poetries translated into English, they were not perfect reproduction and the fundamental reason was the difference between Chinese and Western culture. This thesis talked about the untranslatability of Chinese classical poetry from five factors:imagery, image metaphors, rhetoric, literary allusions and rhyme.
