Matteo Ricci's Interpretation of Confucianism:an Example of The True Meaning Of The Lord of Heaven

利玛窦把天主教原理同中国儒家经典联系起来,用天主教教义附会、补充、论证儒家思想,对儒家经典进行新的诠释,这在《天主实义》中有具体的体现。文章主要论述利玛窦对儒学的阐释及其文化内涵,侧重于上帝即天主、天地崇拜以及对"天"的错误阐释三个方面。

Matteo Ricci contacted Christianity principles with Confucian classics, who used Catholic doctrines to at- tach, supplement and prove Confucian thoughts, and offered a new interpretation of Confucian classics, which was incarnated in The True Meaning of the Lord of Heaven. This thesis mainly discusses Matteo Ricci＇ s interpretation of Confucianism and its cultural connotation, focusing on three aspects： God is Jehovah; heaven and earth worship; the wrong interpretation of the ＂Tian＂.
