美国高校批判性思维的培养对中国英语教学的启示

The Cultivation of Critical Thinking in American Universities and Its Enlightenment on English Teaching in China

培养大学生的批判性思维能力是我国高等教育的一项重要任务,是培养具有创新精神和创新能力的创新型人才的关键。本文首先回顾了美国和中国批判性思维的研究现状,进而从课程设计、教学内容、教学理念、教学方法、模式和考核方式等方面对美国高校大学生批判性思维能力的培养加以剖析,为中国批判性思维研究的理论和实践提供启示和参考,以期探索适合中国国情的教学思路和教学模式。

The cultivation of college students＇ critical thinking ability is an important task of higher education in our country. It is the key to developing innovative talents with innovative spirit and ability. In this paper, we review the recent researches on critical thinking in the U.S.A and China. Then we analyze the training of critical thinking ability of American college students from the angle of curriculum design, teaching content, teaching philosophy, teaching methods, teaching mode and evaluation methods. Throughout the analysis, the paper provides the inspiration and references for the theory and practice of critical thinking in China, so as to explore the teaching ideas and teaching models which suit the Chinese national conditions.
