宋代婺源五显信仰,是在唐代以来兴起的五通信仰与婺源地域文化结合的基础上,统治者整治地方民间"淫祀"并使之正统化(道教化)的产物。婺源五显神自形成伊始,即附着了浓厚的五通信仰的色彩,世俗化、功利化、善恶一体化。婺源五显信仰借助各种力量向南方多地流播,形成了较大的影响,由此也奠定和维护了婺源五显信仰祖地的地位。由于婺源五显信仰植根于五通信仰,它在明清时期虽然努力维持道教的特色,但最终仍然屈服于五通信仰而丧失了自身的性格。婺源五显信仰历经由五通而五显,最后五通、五显混融不分的事实,一定程度上正是中国民间宗教发生发展历史宿命的印证。

Wuxian belief in Wuyuan in the Song Dynasty which is based on the combination of the Wutong belief in the Tang Dynasty with the local geographical culture in Wuyuan, is the product by remediating the local civil ＂Yinsi＂ and making it orthodox（Taoism）. Since the beginning of its formation, the Wuxian God in Wuyuan attached a strong five colors through faith, secular, utilitarian, good and evil integration. Wuyuan five significant forces streaming through a variety of beliefs and more to the south, forming a greater impact, which also laid and maintained the status of Wuyuan five significant faith ancestral land. Because faith is rooted in Wuyuan five significant five-belief, although it is hard to maintain in the Ming and Qing Dynasties Taoism features, but ultimately succumbed to five-belief still lost its own character. After five significant Wuyuan faith by five-and five significant, the last five, five significant Hunrong regardless of the fact that it is Chinese folk religion confirms the historical development of fate occurred to some extent.
