On the Cultural Features of the Decorative Patterns on the Buildings with Overhangs in Wuzhou

梧州骑楼是一种以沿街商、住功能为主的建筑形式,其建筑风格融合地中海地区的桥廊建筑与岭南建筑而形成了独特的建筑艺术形态;以骑楼建筑为载体,梧州骑楼城的建筑装饰亦呈现出典型的多元化特征。该文从文化形态学角度出发,以骑楼的建筑装饰这一视觉化物质为载体去探究建筑装饰的深层次文化特征。

The buildings with overhangs in Wuzhou are an architectural form that serves as both shopping streets and dwelling houses. Its architectural style is a combination of the characteristics of Mediterranean gallery bridges and those of Lingnan buildings, forming a unique architectural artistic form. Taking the buildings with overhangs in Wuzhou as a carrier, the architectural decorations also show the nature of typical diversified characteristics. Based on the architectural decorations on the overhangs of buildings, this paper tries to make a research into the deeper cultural features of architectural decorations from the perspective of cultural morphology.
