Tenses in English is an important grammatical category and the emphasis and difficulty in studying English,the usage of the sixteen tenses is a problem for many English learners. This paper,through mathematical knowledge of number axis and formula derivation,plans to introduce a method to learn English tenses with the aid of mathematical thinking,which helps the students to visually understand the meaning and usage of different tense.
