The theory of Huanglao and Confucianism were both competitors and cooperative partners .Un-der the general trend of integration , they antagonized, fought, complemented, absorbed and advanced each other, going forward hard in hand .The theory of Huanglao and Confucianism have both been the cat ’ s paws in the Han Dynasty .But the theory of Huanglao has once guided social development according to their own in -tention while Confucianism was only used as a tool and an ornament for the rulers .
