For FTTH tcchnical characteristics, combined with the actual situation of Taiyuan CATV network, the technology comparison between EPON and GPON is discussed, as well as the selection of 3 waves in a single fiber or 3 waves in a pair of fiber in the practical application, and the advantages and disadvantages of different construction proposal arc discussed through fiber splitter without cascade or cascaded fiber splitter in experimental plot.
