约翰·巴思国外研究述评

Research Review on John Barth Abroad

近三十年来国外学者围绕约翰·巴思的小说主题、小说写作技巧和小说人物等方面进行了深入研究,研究内容主要涉及存在与虚无主题、元小说、黑色幽默等后现代创作技巧以及人物心理等。这其中既包括对巴思作品的整体评价,也包括对其某部作品中后现代特色的具体分析。总结国外学者对巴思研究的整体趋势以及对巴思第一部小说《漂浮的歌剧》的研究特点有助于挖掘国外研究的前沿视角,进而推动国内巴思研究的多元化发展。

In the past three decades, scholars abroad conducted in - depth studies on the themes, writing techniques and characters of novels by John Barth. Their researches mainly cover the aspects including the theme of existence and nlhility, postmodem writing techniques such as metafietion and black human, as well as the psychology of the characters. Among the re- searches, there are general comments on Barth~ works, and detailed analysis of the postmodern features of one particular work of Barth. By generalizing the trend of researches on Barth and the characteristics of researches on The Floating Opera abroad, it helps to follow up the cutting - edge research perspectives, and to further the diversified development of researches on John Barth in China.
