The Separation of “Narrating” and “Reading”:from Traditional Novel to Modern Novel

在现代叙事理论中,将小说的作者与叙述者相区分、"说"与"看"相区分具有十分重要的意义,它是一系列相关研究得以进一步展开的基础。传统小说中的叙述者与作者被认为是合而为一的,与之相伴的是"说"与"看"的合而为一。在从传统小说到现代小说的发展过程中,这一状况发生了变化,由二者的合一到二者的分离。在这一发展过程中,福楼拜、亨利·詹姆斯、普鲁斯特的小说创作产生了重要影响,为现代小说这一叙事模式奠定了基础。

In the modern narrative theory,the separation of author and narrator, ＂ narrating＂ and ＂reading＂,is of great significance and it＇s the foundation of expanding related researches.In traditional novel,narrator and author are considered to be one,which accompanied by ＂ narrating＂ and ＂ reading＂.During the development of novel,the situation has changed,from unity to separation.In the process,Flaubert,Henry James and Proust had produced great influence,which laid the groundwork for the modern novel narrative pattern.
