从文化传播角度看“中西医结合”之英译

A Study of the Translation of “zhong xi yi jie he” from Cultural Transmission Perspective

中医药和西医药来源不同,发展方式各异,但两者进行融合是可行的,国内众多学者正在对此进行研究。时下,文化霸权肆掠,如何将中国传统文化译介到国外是摆在中国译者面前的一道任务。本文详细分析了"中西医结合"的内涵与外延,以跨文化交际为指导,通过对比的方式对"中西医结合"进行了英译,以期为传播中华文化提供参考。

Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine are quite different from each other in their origin and developing patterns. However, it is still possible to marry them, which many scholars are studying. Presently, the cultural hegemonism prevails in the world, as maks introducing our traditional culture to other peoples through translating becomes a task of the tranlator. In response to this, this paper, guided by the intercultural communication theory, tries to work out the best English version for ＂zhong xi yi jie he＂ through analysing its connotations and denotations and comparing the existing two versions of its translation with expectation of providing a reference for promoting chinese culture.
