The Chinese dishes always appear in American TV series and their translation have important significance on solving detailed problems in the translation of Chinese dishes for us. This paper analyzes the English translation of popular Chinese dishes mentioned in an episode of the TV series the Big Bang Theory,exploring some detailed problems in the Chinese translation of dishes.
