冬凌草含有二萜类、黄酮类、氨基酸类、挥发油类及多糖等成分。对肝癌、胆囊癌、肺腺癌、胰腺癌、乳腺癌、卵巢癌、膀胱癌、食管癌有显著的抑制作用,还可以抗脑缺血,抗炎、抗菌。在食疗方面也有广泛的应用。冬凌草在治疗脑缺血方面的应用将是未来研究的重点。

Donglingcao（ Rabdosia Rubescens） has components such as diterpenes,flavonoids,amino acids,volatile oil and polysaccharide. It has significant inhibitory effect on liver cancer,gallbladder cancer,lung cancer,pancreatic cancer,breast cancer,ovarian cancer,bladder cancer,esophageal cancer,also can anti cerebral ischemia,anti-inflammatory,antibacterial. It also has the widespread application in the diet. Application of Donglingcao（ Rabdosia Rubescens） in cerebral ischemia therapy will be the focus of future research.
