Edutainment in the Period of Republic of China: Discussion on teachers' teaching style with Xia Chengtao as the center

以夏承焘为代表的民国时期教师的教学思想、讲课风格与时代风云有着密切联系。在教学思想方面,我们从其寓教于乐的角度切入,探讨当时教师教学思想中快乐的因素,及其对中国古代教育思想的继承与发展;在讲课风格方面,我们注意到当时教师们平易乐观的禀赋特征,并将其与时代氛围和那一时期读书人的精神气质结合起来探讨,力求公允地评价这种教学思想、讲课风格在当下的价值与意义。

The teaching ideas and lecture style of teachers like Xia Chengtao during the period of the Republic of China were closely linked to the times. From its entertaining angle, this paper discusses the factors of teachers＇ happy teaching thought at that time, the inheritance and development of Chinese ancient educational thought. In the lecture style, we notice their easy-going and optimistic attitude, into which we explore with the consideration of the atmosphere of the times and the period of scholars＇ spiritual temperament, trying to fairly evaluate the teaching thought, the significance and value of teaching style during the period.
