Study on the Categorization of Symbolic Signs: A Theoretical Synthesis from Turner to Ortner

象征符号的分类研究一直进展缓慢,从而导致理论的实践阐释仍然主要停留在抽象层面,不同结论之间的横向对比也缺乏坚实的理论依据。以象征符号分类研究的两位集大成者——特纳和奥特纳的理论为切入点,通过对象征符号分类代表性观点的梳理,构建综合性和实践性更强的分类体系,并以侗族传统民居为具体对象进行检验,推动象征符号理论研究及其实践应用的进展。

Studies on the categorization of symbolic sign are in slow progress.It has resulted in practical interpretation of the theory still focusing on nonobjective level,and the horizontal comparison of different results in lacking of concrete theoretical foundation.Consider-ing the above situation,two prominent figures in symbols research-Turner and Ortner are taken as perspective of research.Through stud-ying typical concepts about symbols categorization,a more integrative and practical category system is constructed,and the practical fea-sibility of the system with a real object is testified.The view will help to promote the theoretical research on symbols and its application.
