论周朴园的精神救赎之路

On Zhou Puyuan's Spiritual Redemption

《雷雨》中主人公周朴园的生命历程是宗教性的救赎之路。借用弗洛伊德的人格结构理论,宗教精神就是超越现实自我的自由超我,周朴园的情欲就代表着本我,儒家规范代表自我,基督教的博爱与自由代表超我。以儒家伦理为代表的传统无力化解与升华恶的欲望,这样个体中内在的情欲没有合适的实现途径。周朴园先是在自我与本我的斗争中痛苦挣扎,再经过乱伦与绝种这种对自我的彻底摧毁,最后进入博爱的宗教境界,获得精神上的新生与自由。周朴园的救赎之路也体现了《雷雨》对具有文化原罪的传统如何拯救的思考。

The life of Zhou Puyuan, the protagonist of 'The Thunderstorm' is a religious redemption. Corresponding to Freud's theory of personality structure, Zhou's sexual desire is id, the Confucian norms are ego, and the Christian love and freedom represent superego.The tradition represented by Confucian ethics is not able to dissolve or elevate the undue desire, whose realization is impossible. Zhou Puyuan struggles between the ego and the id, and then sees the utter destruction of the ego through incest and extinction, at last enters the religious realm and attains the spiritual rebirth and freedom. Zhou's redemption is the play's thinking on the redemption of a tradition with its cultural original sin.
