Gas chromatography is an important modern analysis instrument. It has became an indispensable tool in petrochemical analysis because of its unique,efficient,quick separation properties. The component and theory were outlined. Current methods and situation of gas chromatography in several important application fields were introduced in detail,such as namely gas analysis,gasoline fraction composition analysis,and simulated distillation analysis. It provided favorable reference value to research and develop advanced gas chromatography technology for petrochemical analysis.
