In the paper, for the traditional Chinese painting with a long history of cultural heritage, the artistic characteristics of the Chinese painting lines are analyzed in depth, the layout of Chinese painting are expounded to the key point in terms of ＂density and spacing＂ and in terms of ＂emptiness and fullness＂, and the method of applying the traditional Chinese painting in the modern plane design is interpreted, so as to illustrate the intention that the Chinese modern plane design should be based on the succession and promotion of national artistic culture, and on the graphic design works of national importance, and finally to make the spirit of Chinese design culture charmingly unique on the design stage in the world.
