Paul Ricoeur is a contemporary French philosopher on Hermeneutics and his theory on time and narrative focuses on plot, emplotment and time. Its main method is poetic narrative, which can be applied to philosophical counseling. In his relevant Woks, Ricoeur takes the contemporary development in systematic French linguistics, semantics, semiology in France as one major critique. His narrative theory on time and narrative maintains characteristic fruitful color on text and discourse, forms the new order of time to deal with narrative, the emplotment of events, and then provides theory of threefold mimesis. Through the stud- y in the contemporary hermeneutie method and analysis of relevant cases, reveal the meaning and contribu- tion of this method under the conditions of Chinese culture and text.
