Taking the image analysis method, comparative method, combined with the literature materials, this paper researched the cloth doll shape classification, characteristics and function, aesthetic significance and other contents, and provided a theoretical reference for the innovative design of modern cloth doll. According to the different shape design technique of expression of cloth dolls can be divided into realistic cloth dolls, cloth doll shape freehand shapes, decorative cloth doll style. Cloth doll modeling has the volume weight, object texture, carrying the idea and emotion creators convey, artistic and aesthetic value which can embody the cloth doll. Cloth dolls can show a combination of traditional national art and modern design in vitality and aesthetic values of contemporary people and the manual art, as well as thinking and innovative design.
