An Exploration on Multiliteracies Teaching in Three- year College English Classrooms

摘要 现代科技的进步带来了沟通方式的多元化,多媒体技术的广泛运用推动了外语教学方式的变革,英语教学逐渐从传统的识读教育转向培养学生的多元识读能力。依据Kress&van Leeuwen提出的多模态教学模式理论,文章阐述了高职院校学生多元识读能力教学模式。从书面多模态识读入手,利用多媒体创设多模态化的教学环境,利用网络拓展课外多模态任务,课内教学和课外实践相结合培养学生构建知识的能力和思辨能力。 The variety of communication methods brought by the development of modern technology,together with the extensive usage of multi- media leads to the revolution in the field foreign language teaching. Consequently,the focus of English teaching has been shifted from traditional literacy to the cultivation of multimodality. Based on the multimodality teaching methodology presented by Kress &Van Leeuwen,the paper illustrates the mode of cultivating multiliteracies among a three- year college. A combination of classroom multimodal teaching with extracurricular practice will be helpful to foster students’ ability of knowledge construction and critical thinking. The concrete steps include the acknowledgement of the usage of common modes in the textbook,teaching in the context of classroom media,as well as the multimodality assignments.
