汉语网络新词的英译研究

English Translation of Chinese Network Neologisms

随着网络的普及和快速发展,汉语的网络新词不断涌现,随之产生的还有它们的英译。本文介绍汉语网络新词的定义,分析网络新词翻译中存在的一些问题和网络新词翻译的标准,提出汉语网络新词的英译应以奈达的功能对等翻译理论为依据,采用回译、对等翻译法、直译、意译及意译加注法等翻译方法。

With the rapid development and the wide spread of the internet, Chinese network neologisms spring up rapidly and so do their English translations. This paper introduces the definition of Chinese network neologisms, analyzes some problems and translation standards in the translation of Chinese network neologisms, proposes that the English translation of Chinese network neologisms should be based on Nida＇s equivalent translation theory and explores effective translation methods like back translation, equivalent translation, literal translation, free translation and free translation plus interpretation.
