摘要
《鲁宾逊漂流记》和《摩尔·弗兰德斯》是笛福作品中的姐妹篇。两部作品的男女主人公处于资本主义上升阶段的历史背景下,为了追求财富所表现出的不同抗争史。本文从笛福的小说的特点及这两部作品中的男女主人公的经济个人主义、婚姻观以及对宗教的态度进行分析,从而更深刻地认识笛福小说的主旨。
＂Robinson Crusoe＂and ＂Moll Flanders＂are the most famous and popular in Defoe＇s works.The protagonists of the two novels pursue their wealth under the historical background of the rising capitalism,but they adopt different means to accu-mulate money.In this paper,the characteristics of Defoe＇s novels,economic individualism of the protagonists,the view of mar-riage and religious attitude are analyzed to understand profoundly the keynote of Defoe＇s Novels.
