A New Look at Yuan Shikai Usurping State Power

辛亥革命已过百年,在纪念辛亥革命百年的学术盛宴中,史学研究领域迎来了又一次考证和品评辛亥革命人与事的新热潮,其中争论最多的便是民国五年被定性为"窃国大盗"的袁世凯。但是,窃国之罪是否真如世人所言;何者为"窃",是否为"窃",可否言"窃"。矫枉过正不是正确的评价方式,重新客观审视过去所做的历史结论,对今天的历史研究依然有借鉴作用。

1911 Revolution has passed for over 100 years. In the centennial anniversary of academic field, it has witnesses the boom of the researches on the people and deeds of the revolution. The most controversial one is Yuan Shikai being named a usurper on the 5th year of the Republic of China. However, the truth is up in the air. What is ＂usurping＂7 Whether is it usurped？ Is it proper to be called usurped7 Overdoing is not a right way to evaluate history and an objective review over the historical conclusion still makes reference to today＇ s historical research.
