The authors analyzed the administrative background, main idea and typical poli- cies of departments of work safety supervision over ten years and six periods, and analyzed conti- nuity of policies based upon five aspects, theoretical innovation of work safety, main responsibili- ties of work safety, building system of long term safety, breakthrough at key points and sole rec- tification, and intensifying safety foundation. The authors also studied development trends on coal mine safety supervision and inspection policy from diverse perspectives： macro perspective, micro perspective, hardware perspective, software perspective, topical perspective and policy mix perspective.
