论民国武侠小说中的宗教人物形象

Study on the Religious Characters in Martial Arts Novels in the Republic of China

佛道文化向来是武侠小说的重要资源,民国时期的社会转型语境中,武侠作家对宗教亦有借鉴,塑造出不少佛道人物形象。就审美意蕴而言,宗教人物形象传达了宗教思想,同时对儒家德性、民间伦理、现代观念等有所兼容;从艺术性来看,宗教人物形象除少数较有立体感外,其余多具有扁平化、符号化、模式化等特征。从文学史视角来看,该形象群总体多保守,有承前启后的作用。

The Buddhist and Taoist culture has always been an important resource of martial arts novels. During the social transition in the Republic of China,martial arts novelists also have reference to religion in shaping many re-ligious characters of Buddhism and Taoism.In terms of the aesthetic implication,religious characters convey religious thoughts,and can be compatible with Confucian virtues, folk ethics,and modern ideas.From the artistic point of view, apart from some religious characters that are more three-dimensional,the rest are usually flat,symbolic and stereo-typed.Religious figures in martial arts novels of the Republic of China are generally conservative,serving as a link be-tween the past and the future in the literary history.
